We founded Wicked
Witch Productions, Ltd., bringing a wealth of life experience and synergistic creativity to our broad range of works.
We met on the Internet, and learned that we shared a common interest in screenwriting. We procured a manager in Los Angeles, who helped to generate production interest in a television series
we proposed. Our original offerings for this series consisted of completed scripts,
including a two-hour pilot script; a two-hour sequel to the pilot; a series development document, including short descriptions
for twenty-six episodes; and a character arc document. We participated in negotiations
for sale of our pilot script, which included consideration for Executive Producer/Writer positions if the series sold to the
Network. Unfortunately, negotiations between the production factions broke down, and the deal did not materialize.
Undaunted, we continued to compose other projects. Our current portfolio consists of several original
projects. Though we consider science fiction/fantasy to be our featured genre, we have written comedy, high-concept political
satires, historical romance, and action/adventure.
We are a prolific team dedicated to building a successful career in the field of screenwriting.
Kym Hackenberger's background includes a B.A. in English and Spanish, which led to an exploration
of various types of writing careers, including management of her own media publishing service. Her continued pursuit of all
aspects of writing have culminated in her success in the screenwriting field.
Melody Lowe's background includes work in various print media and business writing, as well as providing
script-reading services for an independent production company. Her personal interest in creative writing as a hobby led to
enrollment in the Creative Writing Program at the University of Iowa, eventually bringing her to the screenwriting world.
